Poetic Tributes By Baby Blues

A New Day Nears

"Someone say something nice to me"
One fine day while mingleling through time
I came upon a Friend
Who I found to be in gloom
She says, "Someone say something nice to me"
And I say to her:

To the east the day anews
For all there is to see, for all there is to be
That one find what is right for them
Nothing is more special than sharing time
With your Love, watching the sun bring dark to light
The fresh smell of a new day, brings the spirit to life
The sun's rays dance though the gentle blown leaves
Making the spears of grass, the petals of flowers come to life
The song of birds, you do hear
The bubbly brook nearby
You walk hand in hand along the meadow trail
Taking in all the grander that nature doth display
As the deer frolic along, only stopping for water at the bubbly brook
The majestic eagle, soars aloft in his domain, the blue skies
Along the trail the wild rose grows, the beauty of the meadow
Whose petals spread sweet aroma in the air
But not as beautiful or not as sweet as, "You"
The pines so tall offer shade from the heat of day
You stop, take refuge among the graceful pines
Spread the blanket, share a picnic lunch packed just specially for two
The two who share as one, for now, and all their dreams of tomorrow
And as the sun sets towards the west
They lay upon the blanket held in each others embrace
Watching the light turn to dark as the moon makes shadows across the meadow
As the stars fill the night with twinkles of light
The two wish upon a star that the night never ends

The Diamond Sparkled Web

One day while wandering the forest of life To see all the beauty around

The trees, mountains, valleys, birds, animals and all God's creatures of life

Many trails lie ahead, low and high

One beckon's me, "Follow me, and I will show you beauty"

I trudge along over hill and though the streams of the valley

Passing by the sentinels of the forest, the tall whispering pines

My legs grow weary, body aches as it has been a long trail

In the distance afar, I see blinding glitter

Like sun rays dancing off diamonds

Blinded by this, I not see where I am going

And before I knew what took place I was trapped

I try to fight free, but to avail

I am trapped in a web this I see

The diamonds I had seen from afar, are dew drops of the morning

I take solace in the quietness

And ask, "What I have done wrong?"

The sun begins to set, brings a chill to my spine

I feel the web begin to tremble, and call out , "Who is there?"

Behold a spider, before is there

I recognize as the deadly Black Widow, who with one bite, I be gone

I cry out, "Have no fear, I mean no harm, I am kind"

"I only come to find the Beauty I was told was here"

The Black Widow responds, "Yes, I will show you the beauty you seek"

"As your kind, respectful, trustful, and take pleasure"

"In knowing all of natures beautifulness"

And later in the night, just past midnight a metamorphosis did occur

I waited anxiously, as the minutes passed, till all was done

And before my very eyes the Beauty I did see

She is as beautiful as the flower she holds

A lovely "smile" to go with a very lovely face

One could not be blessed with more beauty than I have seen

And free from the Diamond Sparkled Web to continue with life's journeys

I go forward with the pleasure of knowing the Beautiful Black Widow

I Search The Unknown

The car is full, the open road ahead
The road not smooth,
As I journey outward
To find all, to find one
But most of all to find myself
The unknown will be my compass
The beauty of all will be my comfort
I travel to and fro
Not knowing where I go
Not knowing where I have been
Will pass the time of day, with any who share an ear
Will share a cup of tea, under the graceful elm tree
As clouds of fluffy white pass overheard
Will learn from what is said, of all the toils of life
And of all what is unsaid, but there, never being said
Will grow a little more
To share with all who care to listen
As the road opens again before
I am searching once more far and wide
For around the next corner may be the place, I want to be
May hang the sign, "Home Sweet Home"
And rest my deary soul

My last Farewell

To my dear departed friend

Why, we may never know the answer

But why, with your heart heavy and your soul troubled

You choose not to share with your loved ones or those who loved you

My door was always opened, my shoulder to lean on

I feel as though I let you down, I did not see, I did not feel

The pain that you were harbouring

And when you reached the deepest depths of your despair

With your faith in God, you should have looked to him for help

He would have lifted you up and carried you through

Now we sorrow in grief with those loved ones whom you left

I pray you have found peace and contentment in the hereafter

And when I look toward Heaven, I hope to see you as a twinkling Star

I will miss you my friend, I will miss you

And now I must say my last farewell, until we meet again.

Your Bodyguard.
